El Banuelo and a Tree

36The above painting is of El Banuelo, the ancient baths in Granada.  Invented and engineered by the Moors, the baths were a concept adopted by the Romans.  To allow ventilation and light into the baths, octagonal and star-shaped windows were built into the ceiling, an interesting feat of engineering.

Below, and a bit less interesting, is a tree which had to come into a post sooner or later. 35
