Springtime is here, people are happy, and everyone else is sitting around with stuffy noses and swollen eyes. Â I decided to do some watercolors of leaves in a vintage engravers style. Â I went to the library in search of a book containing some old engravings of some flora and fauna. Â No such book could be found (gone were the dreams of engraving) but I did find a great book containing photos of leaves. Â Using these photos, I painted the following:
A Flowering MapleA False Aralia (Do forgive the color.  The scanner struck again.  The green you see at the bottom is its true color.)And finally, a Split Leaf Philodendron. I hope everyone is having a happy and creative Spring!
