Leaves

Springtime is here, people are happy, and everyone else is sitting around with stuffy noses and swollen eyes.  I decided to do some watercolors of leaves in a vintage engravers style.  I went to the library in search of a book containing some old engravings of some flora and fauna.  No such book could be found (gone were the dreams of engraving) but I did find a great book containing photos of leaves.  Using these photos, I painted the following:

A Flowering Maple8A False Aralia (Do forgive the color.  The scanner struck again.  The green you see at the bottom is its true color.)6And finally, a Split Leaf Philodendron. 7I hope everyone is having a happy and creative Spring!

  4. Spring was creative. I love those days. Then I got busy. It’s great that you have your family here to offer you lots of warm support. I hope you’ve been well for the remainder of the year.
